Hello Gale!
It's been a long time...over 7 years to be exact. I drove all the way from KY to get a blue puppy and named him Yampa. Right now Yampa and I are living in West Hollywood, CA. Yampa has himself a pet talent agent and is turning into quite the superstar with his amazing intelligence, looks and personality. Everybody falls in love instantly with this dog!
Recently we both got done filming a show that will air on Lifetime during the first week in Oct. It is a six week series titled "Off the Leash" and is about owners who have their dogs in the entertainment business. There are 7 ladies and their dogs featured including me and Yampa. It is a reality show, but a comedy and should be pretty funny. Yampa is the "star" dog who is the most well trained and emotionally stable...so he wins everything. He won a national magazine cover (which I am attaching for you along with some other pics).
We just got back from two weeks in Canada where he had a part in a Lifetime movie of the week called "Last Chance Cafe". It is still in post production but I will let you know the air date when it is set. I actually got medical documentation so Yampa can fly inside the cabin of the plane with me...couldn't bear to have him shipped as cargo. You should have seen people's faces as I walked him through the airport right up to the gate...priceless! He behaved immaculately as always and just slept on the floor at my feet the entire time. The flight crew said if every child were as good as Yampa, their jobs would be so much easier!
The best part is that I am always able to accompany Yampa and oversee everything that goes on while he works. And Yampa LOVES it. If you ask him "You wanna work, Yampa?" he gets so excited and starts running and jumping around and barking.
So...I'll keep you posted on our Hollywood adventures. Thanks again for giving me such a physically and emotionally healthy companion. He is in such healthy shape with great muscle tone and tons of energy...no one ever believes me when I tell them he is 7 yrs old. And his gentle and loving personality wins everyone over immediately...even non-dog people. His intelligence and repertoire of amazing tricks are just the icing on the cake.
